History of project and brief description of work

Philosophy of care
Peace, security, independence and companionship in a supportive and modern living environment.

Facilities
Bethany House is a bungalow development in a garden setting, especially designed with self sufficient older people in mind. Residents may have insufficient means to afford other types of accommodation; they may prefer independence and the security of sheltered accommodation which Bethany house provides or they may have few if any family members to help.

Bethany house is a short distance from Sandymount village and Sandymount Strand. It is a modern but also traditionally comfortable development. Accomodation is provided for 40 people in single and double Bungalows. They include kitchens, bathrooms and open-plan living area. There is also a communal lounge with extensive kitchen facilities for residents and a sunny south facing conservatory. The lounge and adjoining conservatory is the venue where parties, musical evenings, classes and other social functions are held.

Daily personal contact is maintained by our resident manager and chaplaincy services are available as required.
