Background

The members of your local Conference are ordinary men and women who give up their time to offer whatever help is required to anyone that approaches them.  From farmers, to business men, third level students to housewives, teachers to architects - members bring all kinds of experience to their Conference work.

Who do SVP help?

SVP tries to assist all those in need on a person to person basis, regardless of their faith, colour, race or status.  All information given to members is CONFIDENTIAL and will not be discussed outside the Conference meeting.

I need help who do I contact?

Your first step is to try to speak to a member of your Conference.  If you do not know any members of your Conference look up our ‘Contact Us’ section for a contact name. If this is unsuccessful you can contact our Regional Administrator – Eddie Shiels on 07491 73933.  Eddie will speak with you and can direct your request for help to the person most able to help you. Remember – the first step is the hardest – if you need help don’t hesitate in speaking to us.

Who will visit me?

If you speak to a member to ask for help it will more than likely be that person who will call to you.  If not, another member of your local conference will visit you.  If you would feel more comfortable with a specific member visiting you this may be possible.

What happens after a member visits me?

After your visit your request will be brought back to your local conference and members will talk about how they can help you.  Conferences usually hold their meetings on a weekly basis.
