SVP would love all of our female supporters to join us in taking part in the 2012 Flora Women’s Mini Marathon.
What better way to get in shape for the summer than to run the Women’s Mini Marathon with your friends, sisters, aunts, mother or even your grandmother.
It's great fun and if you do it for St Vincent de Paul you know you are also going to make real difference.

This year we want to put women and children first so we are asking the ladies who fundraise on our behalf to let people know that the money they raise will be for one key area
Supporting Homeless & Vulnerable Women & Children
SVP helps thousands of women all over the country every day. We visit women and their families every day supporting them with adult education, educational support for their children, helping with food, light, heat and all the other things a family needs.
We also provide services directly to women such as
In Dublin we assist women and families through our Home Visits, Community Development Projects and Resource Centres. We provide help for mothers and children through our Preschools and Crèches, After School Projects, Education Grants, Youth Clubs and Holiday Centres.
Our regional offices support similar schemes along with resources like Bethany House in Longford and Mayo Women's Support Services which provide services for women and children experiencing domestic violence. These services meet frightened women and children who are powerless and alone because of domestic violence. They have nowhere to turn but with your help we can provide the support, accomodation, education and information they need to change their lives.
Best of luck with your training and thank you for thinking of us.
