Social Justice is the SVP’s most active voice in the media and public domain, and is a key commentator in Irish society generally. We use our ‘From The Ground Up’ knowledge of issues at local Conference level to inform our policy positions and we advocate these in public debate at critical moments. One example of this is our media involvement before, during and after Budget Day each year. The aim of our media work is to remind Irish society and Government that the scandal of poverty continues in Ireland, that SVP is tackling poverty in communities, and offers solutions to end social exclusion.
