The Annual SVP Pre-Budget Submission (PBS)

Every year the SVP produces a submission to Government highlighting what SVP members’ believe to be the necessary changes in the forthcoming budget.   Due to the varied nature of the work of the SVP our pre-Budget Submissions cover a wide level of policy areas including education, health and social welfare rates.

The Society’s Pre-Budget Submissions are prepared by the social justice staff in consultation with our members and the National Social Justice and Policy Committee. After the announcement of the Budget the Society is often asked to comment on any changes.  The Society often makes presentation to Government with our commentary and produces a Post Budget Analysis to inform our members of any changes.
