We are the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul - City Quay Conference
We meet once a week and visit people at their homes.
We provide towards day to day living expenses where people are struggling to buy food or pay bills. We give food vouchers, clothes vouchers, and cheques payable to furniture shops, electrical stores, utility companies, schools or colleges.
We make at least 500 visits a year and spend approximately €50,000- €55,000. We have no administration costs save for a small levy of around €300-550 a year payable to our Head Office for shared services.
This year inflation has greatly increased the pressure on poorer households. Energy inflation affects those we serve, hardest, spending, as they do, a higher proportion of their income on energy. They are dreading the coming winter. We are already seeing increased demand for our services. Inflation is eroding our limited resources and thus our ability to help people effectively.
We need your help to allow us to continue helping those who are living on your doorstep. Please consider giving us a donation this year or next.
