My World Workshop provides a safe and secure environment where children can learn through fun using the Montessori Method. The workshop runs once a week on Saturday mornings and caters for children aged between 6 - 12 years living in the local area, providing a much-needed outlet/respite for parents and children alike. A Montessori teacher leads the children through educational and fun activities with support from SVP volunteers. We also start the day with breakfast and finish with lunch.
Many of our families are struggling through the cost of living and housing crisis and this year has been particularly difficult for some of them. In the short term we hope to use any funds raised to purchase Christmas presents and food hampers for these families and their children.
If we are lucky enough to exceed our target any outstanding funds will go directly towards resources for My World Workshop.
