My Personal Message

Many people in our area, both in flats and in homeless hostels are on the margin financially with the stress that brings.  We build relationships of respect in supporting members of the community and a friendly voice can help reduce the stress and isolation.  Your help enables us to help them in practical ways. Every cent donated goes to alleviate urgent needs and to ensure continuation in education, the best passport out of long-term poverty.

The range of critical needs is very broad – it includes extra education and other child related costs or costs associated with illness and help with purchase or replacement of basic household goods, as well as help to deal with sudden financial crises which can arise where resources are very limited.   SVP help can make all the difference.   We are based in Clarendon St Church and helping struggling members of the community in the nearby streets, adjoining Conferences based at Whitefriar St and St Nicholas of Myra.
