My Personal Message

James and Tara Ozanam Come Dancing 2019Tara:

My name is Tara Denmark & I am delighted to represent Independent News & Media in this year’s Ozanam Come Dancing.  I feel this is the perfect opportunity to celebrate the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. What better way is there to fundraise for a fantastic cause, than having fun & putting your dancing shoes on!? I think it is really important to realise how lucky we are & what we take for granted. Charity begins at home, and this is my home now so let’s celebrate the fantastic work SVP do for the community.

James:

Hi, my name is James and  I am so excited to be taking part in this year’s Ozanam Come Dancing and to be representing Independent News & Media with my colleague Tara. I’m a huge proponent of positivity and encouragement, for me this includes taking part in and promoting charitable events in communities across Dublin. I’m no stranger to the dancefloor having taken part in a ‘Strictly’ event with RTE last year. So a vote for me is a vote for memes and pizza, do it for the kids!

Ozanam Come Dancing 2019

Date: 08 March 2019

Ozanam Come Dancing is the BIG annual fundraiser in aid of Ozanam House Resource Centre, a community centre operated by SVP in Dublin 1. This year, 12 couples have volunteered to take on the challenge. The show will take place on Friday 8th March at 7.30pm in Liberty Hall, Dublin 1 and will be hosted by television presenter and fashion designer, Brendan Courtney. Brendan will be assisted by our guest celebrity judges including former Dancing with the Stars ‘Star’ Katherine Lynch. This year, with your help, we will engage 280 children and young people from the north inner city on our summer projects in June, July and August. At this challenging time of the year for so many families in our community and with your support, we will give them a memorable experience in a safe, nurturing, yet fun-filled environment. Please support our volunteer dancers involved our BIG annual fundraiser, Ozanam Come Dancing.
