Community & Corporate Fundraising Lead – Maternity Cover

    The purpose of this role is:

    • To lead on Conference centric fundraising, proactively engaging with Regions, Areas and Conferences, ensuring that they have the resources, materials and information that they needed to fundraise. 
    • To lead on corporate engagement and the development of corporate programme and strategy.
    • To lead on grants, trust & foundations for National Office       
    • To have primary responsibility for the implementation of the national CHY charity tax back programme for the Society.

    The ideal candidates will possess the following:


    • Educated to degree level in a marketing, communications or business area is essential 
    • CII Fundraising Diploma desirable
    • A minimum of 5 years of experience is required within the fundraising sector in a similar position
    • Experience of coordinating/ administering the CHY process essential
    • Experience of corporate fundraising essential
    • Experience of community fundraising essential
    • Flexibility, innovation and initiative
    • Good database marketing knowledge
    • Good knowledge of marketing techniques
    • Good communication skills; verbal, written and face to face
    • Excellent organisational and administrative skills
    • The ability to juggle a wide range of activities and priorities own workload and meet deadlines
    • Excellent computer skills and working experience in Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook etc
    • Knowledge of the Society and of its mission and values
    • Knowledge of needs and issues of the poor and disadvantaged
