Finance Administrator (Maternity Cover)

    The purpose of this role is to provide support to the accounting team to ensure transaction processes are completed accurately and timely. The role will support the Financial Accountant for East Region and assist in transaction processing, record maintenance, accounting, analysis and reporting activities primarily for East Region but will also provide backup for other team members when required. This role will be primarily office-based.

    The ideal candidates will possess the following:

    • Certificate/Diploma level in a Finance discipline or Accounts Technician (essential)
    • Knowledge of the Society and of its mission and values
    • Knowledge of needs and issues of the poor and disadvantaged
    • +3 Years relevant experience (essential)
    • Previous experience in Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payables, Bank Reconciliations and Payroll processing (essential)
    • Ability to prepare monthly management accounts to trial balance (essential)
    • Previous experience in assisting in the external annual audit process (essential)
    • Retail experience operational or administrative an advantage
    • Experience of working in the community / voluntary sector is desirable but not essential.
    • Finance policies, development, implementation, and adherence practices.
    • Experience in developing and implementing policies, procedures and controls
    • Ability to prioritise work- organisational and time management skills
    • Ability to work in a team, contribution to initiatives and continuous improvements.
    • An ability to quickly establish and maintain rapport with a diverse range of stakeholders and to manage on-going working relationships and work plans.
