The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul is committed to doing everything possible to ensure children, young people and vulnerable adults are kept safe from harm.
The single most important responsibility undertaken is to ensure that anyone placed in a position of trust within SVP, paid or otherwise, which gives them direct access to children, young people or vulnerable adults is selected with the utmost care.
Garda Vetting is required for some roles which carry out work with Children, Young People and Vulnerable persons. For this reason, Garda Vetting will be conducted, where appropriate, in line with our SVP Policy and Procedure.
The information provided by me on the Garda Vetting Form will be verified by the Garda Vetting Unit and any disclosure resulting from that process will be used to determine my suitability as a staff member.
