We provide enhanced annual leave entitlements and additional discretionary leave for all employees.

Annual Leave - 23 days annual leave for all staff; additional day’s leave at 5, 10, 15 & 20 years, with a cap of 27 annual leave days.

Discretionary Days - 2 Discretionary days (Christmas Eve & Good Friday) **

We provide employees with enhanced benefits for Maternity, New Parent and Paternity leave once an employee reaches 12 months service.

Maternity / Adoptive Leave – 18 weeks full pay (Minus social welfare payment).

Paternity Leave – 2 weeks full pay (minus social welfare payment).

All employees are required to join the pension scheme upon commencement with the Society.
Employees have the option of a 5% or 7% employer contribution from the date of commencement (employee must match contribution provided).

From the date you join the Society we will cover you for death in service benefits.

Life assurance gives you peace of mind should the unthinkable happen.

In the event that a payment is due, a lump sum payment of 4 times your annual salary will be made to your next of kin or nominated beneficiaries.

We provide employees with access to an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) throughout their employment.

We will support employees in covering the cost of further education courses which are relevant to their role.

We recognize the contribution our people make to the Society in several ways.

Additional annual leave is given as recognition of service to the Society at 5, 10, 15 and 20 Years’ service.

Long Service Award and Voucher is provided to on achieving 25, 30, 35 and 40-years of continuous service as an employee.

Employees who retire with service more than 10 years will receive a gift from the Society.

We operate both the travel pass and bike to work schemes which allow us to purchase one of the above on your behalf and deduct the cost from your gross salary over a max 12-month period.

TaxSaver travel pass - This scheme enables you to take advantage of a tax efficient arrangement that applies to the provision of certain monthly and annual travel passes.

Bike to Work - This scheme enables you to request SVP purchase a bicycle and bicycle safety equipment up to a maximum cost of €1,200 (€1,500 Electric bike).

We operate a very generous sick pay scheme which is in excess of your statutory entitlements with effect from 13 weeks' service.

We operate a discretionary Christmas Gratuity Scheme.

All employees with 6+ months service receive this gratuity in December in the form of a Voucher.

We operate two Saturday Hospital Fund Corporate group schemes (Individual & Family). All employees are eligible to join from the date of commencement.
