Information Support Officer (Permanent Part-Time)

Location: Donegal

Salary range: €21,810.20 per annum

Experience: 1 Years' experience of handling a diverse range of callers - both in-person and by phone. At least 2 years' experience in providing varied admin support in an office environment. / Educated to Leaving Certificate level.

The Role:

We are currently looking to recruit a Information Support Officer to join our North West Regional team in Raphoe, Donegal. The post holder will have responsibility for providing a point of contact for service users to the Society who contact the Society by telephone, email, letter and in person seeking assistance/information are directed to the appropriate Conference. To treat those approaching the Society for help with dignity and respect in accordance with quality visitation guidelines. This is a great opportunity to join one of Ireland’s largest voluntary organisations and make a difference in your community.

Candidate Requirements:  

  • Educated to Leaving Certificate, however an office administration / secretarial or computer course would be beneficial.
  • One years' experience of handling a diverse range of callers - both in-person and by telephone is essential.
  • Experience of working within a busy information environment is desirable.
  • At least two years' experience in providing varied administrative support in an office environment.
  • An in-depth knowledge of the geography of the North West Region.
  • Proficient in IT - MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and experience with a CRM database is desirable.
  • Excellent organisation and administrative skills.
  • Ability to work on own initiative or as part of team.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal)  and interpersonal skills.
