Christmas Carol Fundraiser for Families in Need
Help bring the spirit of Christmas to your community. We are encouraging choirs, schools, businesses and community groups across Ireland to host festive carol singing events to raise funds for families and individuals who are struggling this Christmas.
Gather friends, family, colleagues and members of all ages, and enjoy a day of singing your favourite Christmas carols while supporting families in need.
How to set up your fundraiser:
- Step 1: Contact us on fundraising@svp.ie or call 01 884 8200 and let us know you are interested in hosting a Christmas Carol in your area. We will be here to support you every step of the way!
- Step 2: Decide where you'd like to host your Christmas carol fundraiser. Popular locations include shopping centres, Christmas markets, churches and town squares. Contact the venue in advance to arrange a suitable date and obtain permission to perform and collect donations on site. If you plan to sing and collect donations on public streets or at a church gate, please contact your local Garda station to request a collection permit.
- Step 3: Organise your singers and practice. Make sure everyone knows the date, time and location of your event. Once you've registered, we'll send you a fundraising pack with everything you need to help make your Christmas carol fundraiser a success.
- Step 4: On the day, perform your chosen Christmas carols and collect donations in support of SVP. Most importantly, enjoy the experience, spread festive cheer in your community and help make a difference for families in need this Christmas.
