Car Draw Terms & Conditions


SVP-South West Region under licence Case No: D:LIC:CORKD:2023:004266, granted by Cork District Court on 21st July 2023. SVP is a charity/company limited by guarantee under Irish law. Registered charity number: CHY 6892. South West Regional Office: Ozanam House, 2 Tuckey Street, Cork. Sub Office: Unit 2, Monavalley, Tralee, Co. Kerry.

Prize Details:

  • First Prize: A brand-new Ford Focus donated by the TOMAR TRUST, Cork. (Exclusive of Insurance & Road Tax, not redeemable for cash).
  • Other Prizes: Six cash prizes. The promoter and sponsors are not responsible for any dissatisfaction with the prizes.

How to Enter:

Purchase a specially designed SVP raffle ticket from the brochure door drop, ticket stands in shops and shopping centres, or online at

  • Online Purchases: Register before buying. Provide your first and last name, email address, and phone number. All tickets, including online purchases, will be physically added to the draw drum.
  • Door Drop Purchases: Return tickets in the pre-paid envelope or use a stamp to reduce costs.

Important Note: We do not sell tickets door-to-door.

Contact Information:

Provide your name, address, and telephone number on the return stub(s). Inaccurate or missing information may prevent SVP South West from contacting the winner. SVP South West Region is not responsible for any failure to contact the winner due to incomplete or incorrect contact details provided by the entrant.

Ticket Pricing: Raffle tickets cost €5 each or 5 for €20. By purchasing a ticket, entrants agree to these terms and conditions and may participate in publicity for the Car Draw Raffle if invited by SVP South West. The raffle is open to anyone over 18.

Draw Process: The Lord Mayor of Cork, a TOMAR TRUST representative, and the South West Regional President will draw the winning tickets. The Lord Mayor of Cork will contact the grand prize winner, and the Regional Coordinator and Regional Fundraising Officer will contact other winners.

If the first drawn ticket is illegible, we will discard it and draw a new ticket, with two witnesses present.

The Promoter’s (SVP South West Region) decision on the winner and entry validity is final. SVP will contact all winners using the details provided on the ticket stub.

Deadline and Draw Dates:

  • Ticket Sales Close: Friday, January 12, 2024, at 12 noon.
  • Draw Date: Wednesday, January 17, 2024.

The Promoter reserves the right to temporarily postpone the draw if necessary, without liability to any entrant or third party.


The Promoter’s total liability for any claim related to these terms and conditions or any non-contractual arrangement is limited to the amount paid by the entrant for the raffle ticket.

Publicity Consent:

Entrants allow The Society of St Vincent de Paul to use their name and town/county for announcing winners and in a photoshoot of the car presentation, which will appear on social and print media.

A national newspaper will publish a winners' advert on the Saturday following the raffle. The SVP website at will also list the winners. These Terms and Conditions follow Irish law, and entrants agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish Courts
