It was important for the charity to invest in the shop to reaffirm their commitment to the local community as the shop is located in a high area of deprivation and is a real community hub.
Anne Crossan, Regional Retail Manager, St Vincent de Paul, said: “We are thrilled with the new look for the Tullygally store. As anyone who visited the shop pre refurbishment will know, the conference members, staff and volunteers literally tore the place apart in order to completely give the store a new lease of life. Their enormous efforts have really paid off as the shop now looks good enough to compete with those on the high street!"
“We’ve had great feedback from the customers too. They absolutely love it. We’ve attracted new volunteers and coming to work in the new store has really lifted their spirits.”
