Shop Manager - Claremorris (Permanent Full - Time)

Location: Co. Mayo

Salary range: €35,232 per annum

Experience: 3 Years in customer facing retail environment

The Role: Shop Manager - Claremorris - Co Mayo

We have an opportunity for a creative and self motivated individual, who is passionate about customer service and wants to be part of an organisation that makes a difference in the local community. 

Our shop managers work closely with members, volunteers and schemes participants to extract value from our donations to generate funds to support people in need.

The stores stock a range of items from fashion to furniture, bric-a-brac etc. we have an central distribution centre, (OFC Order fulfilment Centre), where our stock is sorted, this gives each manager the opportunity to choose items which best suit each shops customers needs.  

The ideal candidate will have solid retail experience, training will be given. 

This is a Permanent Full Time position and the successful candidate will be joining our network of retail shops in the West region. 

Candidate Requirements:

Education

  • Minimum Leaving Certificate level

Experience

  • At least 3 years in a customer facing retail environment
  • Experience of managing / working with a diverse team of people
  • Experience of independent working and also working as part of a team
  • Experience of providing and analyzing sales reports

Skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, in individual and group situations
  • An ability to establish and foster excellent working relationships with many different people across different functions and locations
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Competent in IT packages - Excel, Word, EPOS, Microsoft 365
  • A positive outlook with resilience and persistence in the face of barriers and setbacks
  • An ability to display empathy, patience and a well-developed sense of humor

Knowledge

  • Commercially aware
