Salary range: €18.07 p/hr

Charity Retail Shop Manager – Kells

The Role:

We are currently looking to recruit a Retail Shop Manager for our beautiful and well established shop at Kells, Co Meath.  This is a great opportunity for an experienced retailer, with energy and flare to work with an organisation that makes a difference in the community.

This is an exciting time to work in Charity Retail, where we have a strong focus on contributing to a sustainable circular economy and help people in need using donated preloved clothing, furniture and bric-a-brac.

We are looking for a creative, self-motivated individual who is customer and people centric, who will work closely with the Regional Retail Manager and the current close net team which are made up of staff, volunteers and community scheme workers with a goal to optimise sales so we can better serve the community.  

Should you be successful you will be part of a great team made up of thirty-eight shops in the Northeast and Midlands region, two of which are successful furniture stores and a large Order fulfilment Centre, where stock is sorted and distributed on a bespoke basis to our retail units.

Candidate Requirements:

Education

  • Minimum Leaving Certificate level or equivalent

Experience

  • At least 3 years in a customer facing retail environment
  • Experience of managing / working with a diverse team of people
  • Experience of independent working and also working as part of a team
  • Experience of providing and analyzing sales reports

Skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, in individual and group situations
  • An ability to establish and foster excellent working relationships with many different people across different functions and locations
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Competent in IT packages - Excel, Word, EPOS, Microsoft 365
  • A positive outlook with resilience and persistence in the face of barriers and setbacks
  • An ability to display empathy, patience and a well-developed sense of humour.

Knowledge

  • Commercially aware
