Leap On Your Bike Charity Cycle 2016

Leap On Your Bike Charity Cycle - Bridge to Bridge - Annascaul to Leixlip 2016

This is the second year of the cycle, last year the Leap on your Bike Charity Cycle had 25 cyclists and raised €4000 for St Vincent de Paul, Leixlip.

The event is not only raising funds for SVP Leixlip but also for North & West Kerry Alzheimer Society of Ireland Homecare Service, The Children’s Medical & Research Foundation, Crumlin, Cycle-Against-Suicide130Cycle Against Suicide and John of God.

The entry fee is €150 and covers all travel food and accommodation.  We ask the cyclists to raise €180, 100% of which goes to the charities. The closing date for registration is Sunday 12th July.

This year's cycle takes place over two days starting at 9.30am on Saturday 16th July in the picturesque village of Annascaul in Co Kerry covering 150km on the first day and 180km on the second day, covering a total of 330km.

From Annascaul they will tackle the only real climb of the trip, Gleann-na-nGealt before heading to Tralee, their first stop. They will then head north to Listowel for another stop, before turning east to Foynes. Then a last little spin across Limerick city to our overnight stop in the University of Limerick.

On the second they will leave UL and head for Nenagh then Roscrea, Portlaoise, Newbridge, Naas, Kill, Straffan, Celbridge before heading back to Leixlip for a well deserved BBQ.
