Local horticultural students plant the seed of compassion

A group of nine students from The Local Training Initiative in a Level 4 Major Award in Horticulture at the Bessborough Centre recently held a plant and cake sale.

This course is a community based training initiative and all the monies raised from the plant sale goes back into course to raise money for the workshops and field trips that the students take during the year’s course.

The students decided that the money raised from the cake sale would be donated to the Society of St Vincent de Paul.
