Radio Kerry’s hugely successful Christmas Jumper Day is Back

Radio Kerry’s hugely successful Christmas Jumper Day, in aid of St Vincent de Paul’s work, is almost upon us for the second year running. This year, McElligott’s Garage, Listowel Road, Tralee – the home of quality cars and personal service – are kindly supporting the event which raised an enormous €10,000 last year. This money was used by St Vincent de Paul to assist Kerry families in need.

This year, they want to make that figure bigger!

On Friday, December 11th 2015, they’re calling on families, businesses, schools, colleges, anyone at all, to get into the Christmas spirit and help make the holiday even better this year for those who depend on St Vincent de Paul’s services!

Don’t have a Christmas jumper? Don’t worry, just get a bit of tinsel or glitter and make it yourself! This appeal is for anyone, any age, anywhere in County Kerry!

They're asking that everyone makes a minimum donation of €2 again this year. You can drop all donations into your local St Vincent de Paul office or shop, or the Radio Kerry offices – Maine Street, Tralee or Glebe Lane, Killarney – and they'll get it to us.

If you’re taking part, make sure to let them know by emailing svp@radiokerry.ie, calling them on 066 – 712 3600, or private messaging them on the Radio Kerry Facebook page. Send them photos of you and your team and the amount raised and they will post the photos to our special event page, as well as mentioning you on air throughout the day!

On the day, the Radio Kerry ‘11 to 1 Club’ will be broadcast from McElligott’s Garage, Honda, Kia, Landrover and Mercedes Benz Showroom on the Listowel Road, Tralee, so feel free to pop down in your Christmas jumper!

The week coming up to the event and on the day of, their on air team will promote the Radio Kerry Christmas Jumper day, and will be visiting schools and businesses around the county on Friday, December 11th.
