SVP Monster Car Draw 2014

The North East Region of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul would like thank everyone who supported its recent Monster Car Draw 2014. 


The Society’s Regional President Liam Reilly expressed his thanks to all present at the Regional Office on Trinity St., Drogheda where the draw for the winners took place on Friday Night Oct 24th at 8pm.  “The Society are delighted again to run its Monster Car Draw – for a third year, we very much appreciate the public for again supporting the Society given the financial strains that still exist within our communities…. It’s a testament to the respect to which the Society is held”.  “Thank you to the organising committee, staff and volunteers who gave of their time to plan, manage and see through this massive fundraising initiative”. 
Tickets were delivered through An Post to all houses in Louth, Meath, Monaghan, Cavan, Westmeath & Longford. 
Cathaoirleach of Louth County Council Cllr. Oliver Tully was the Society’s guest of honour and who drew the first prize – a 2014 Nissan Qashqai. Oliver commended the Society on its fundraising initiative and thanked them for their tireless work to combat poverty within our communities. 

The winners were:

  1. First Prize   Donal Farrell, Newtowncashel, Co. Longford
  2. Second Prize  Rita Mc Hugh, Drogheda
  3. Third Prize  Jacqui Downes, Drogheda
  4. Forth Prize   Karen Downey, Crosskeys, Co. Cavan
