SVP Wins Overall Rehab Charity Sector Award

The Society of St Vincent de Paul won the overall charity sector award at the Rehab annual event held in Dublin last night (Saturday 6th December) .

Commenting on the achievement Geoff Meagher, National President said "This is a recognition of the work of our 11,000 Members and Volunteers who are involved in Visitation work and supporting our many special works such as Shops, Hostels, Holiday Homes, Crèches and many other activities across over 1,200 Conferences throughout the 32 counties together with our dedicated support staff.

This has been a team effort and all should feel proud of the achievement. I also thank all those who contributed to the making of the video for the television broadcast, those who attended on the night, to colleagues in National office who worked with Rehab and RTE on the programme and finally to Mary Dempsey and Kieran Stafford who accepted the award on behalf of all of us. Well done again to each and every Member, Volunteer and Staff Member"
