World Day of the Sick

On Thursday, February 11, 2016 the St. Kilian’s Conference in Mullagh, Co.Cavan held their annual Mass and Blessing of the Sick in St. Kilian’s Heritage Centre in Mullagh. 

For over twenty years members have organised this lovely occasion in conjunction with the local parish clergy. 

Fr. John Gilhooly  PP, Mullagh celebrated the Mass Sheila Fox and members of the church choir led the hymn singing in which all the congregation participated enthusiastically. Each person who chose to do so received the Sacrament of the Sick with the choir singing appropriate hymns.

The Mass was followed by a wonderful lunch, with lots of discussion and camaraderie.  Older people who don’t go out much were delighted to meet old friends for a chat. A raffle was held and all the guests went home happy and really delighted.
