The Gift of Choice

This year in Saint Vincent De Paul, we are looking mainly for vouchers through our Gift of Choice Appeal.

The reason we are asking all individuals, groups and companies for vouchers so that families and individuals can buy their own foods, clothes, toys and gifts for their children based on what their children are asking Santa for.

By doing this it empowers individuals and families to make decisions for themselves and gives them choices, it allows them to play Santa for their own children rather than someone else deciding what their child would like for Christmas or what their family will have for Christmas dinner. Each parent has the same dreams and wishes as you and I for their very own special Christmas so vouchers for food shops, warm clothing and toys can help them make these wishes come through.

If you want to do a Virtual Tree collection we are asking for non-perishable food items, new toys, new clothing for children and warm and practical hats, scarfs, gloves, socks, and underwear for adults.

We are asking for toys and gifts not to be wrapped, even though it’s a lovely gesture we have to regretfully open each beautifully wrapped parcel to ensure children and families are kept safe and given age-appropriate toys that have no choking hazards.
