The Role:
We are currently looking to recruit a Van Assistant (Permanent Full Time; 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Saturday) to join our East OFC team based in OFC Broombridge and OFC Sean McDermott Street. The post holder will have responsibility for supporting the efficient collection and redistribution of donated goods and excess stock between the central warehouse and Vincent’s charity shops across the East Region, working closely with drivers to maximise sales, productivity, revenue opportunities and customer satisfaction. The role also supports wider logistical requirements as they arise to ensure effective stock movement and availability across the retail network.
The post holder is required to carry out these duties in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring full compliance with the Society’s retail standards, relevant legislation, and SVP policies and ethos at all times. Qualifications
• Job Holder should have a good educational background
Experience
• Experience in a similar role is desirable.
Knowledge
• A good Knowledge of Dublin, Wicklow and Kildare is desirable.
• A B Licence is desirable.
• Knowledge of our Vincent Shops is desirable
• Knowledge of the Society and of its mission and values is desirable
• Knowledge of needs and issues of the poor and disadvantaged
Skills
• To be physically fit
• To be able to work as part of a team or on own initiative.
• To have good communication skills.
• To be able to work under pressure
