SVP Enniskerry Annual Appeal 2025

The summary

The Enniskerry Conference covers a large area from the Glen of the Downs to the Scalp and from Glasnamullan to Glencree. We are a small team who help people in this area either with financial help or just friendly visits where loneliness is the problem. Our small financial help often makes the difference between having enough to eat or not, being warm in winter or not and being able to pay essential bills without resorting to unscrupulous loan sharks and perpetuating the cycle of poverty. The people we help have usually hit on hard times because of a major event in their lives such as, illness, loss of employment, death of a spouse or marital breakdown. With our help many survive the initial impact and go on to be able to support themselves! But we need your help to be able to help them.
The Enniskerry conference is small in number and does not have monthly Church Gate collections. We are solely dependent on the donations and subscriptions that we get at Christmas time. We have lost some key benefactors over the last two years, so the Christmas appeal is critical for us to be able to continue our work in 2026.
