A helping hand

The Society’s core mission is to support people in need through confidential home visits. Our volunteers come from all walks of life and offer help in a friendly, non-judgemental way.

When someone contacts SVP, two trained volunteers will arrange a visit to listen, understand their situation, and explore how we can help. Support may include practical or financial assistance with everyday essentials, or guidance to other relevant services.

Please note that SVP is not an emergency service, and visits may take up to two weeks after initial contact.
