Housing is a major concern in modern Ireland.
At SVP, we are campaigning for an end to homelessness, increased investment in social and affordable homes, greater security for people living in the private rented sector and better accommodation standards across tenure type.
We are also campaigning for the full implementation of the White Paper on Ending Direct Provision.
Our ambition is to ensure that everyone has access to secure and affordable homes, within sustainable communities so that all can live with dignity and respect.
We will continue to work with our partners across the sector to support and uplift their work to bring about change to the current accomodation crisis in Ireland.
In the words of renowned social scientist and urban ethnographer Matthew Desmond "Housing is absolutely essential to human flourishing. Without stable shelter, it all falls apart."

Together, we can make housing in Ireland accessible to everyone, and allow our communities to flourish and grow.
