My Personal Message

Michael and Helena Ozanam Come Dancing 2019Helena:

My name is Helena O’Toole and I am 27 years old. I have wanted to volunteer for a charitable cause for a while now and Ozanam Come Dancing is the perfect fit. Ozanam House do fantastic work in the community and give people the support, encouragement and help they need to build a better future at a time when finances are tough for many, many families. I want to help by being a small cog in the fantastic machine that is Ozanam House by raising money for a wonderful organisation. I am also a little clumsy so if I fall on the stage.... at least I will provide entertainment on the night!

Michael:

My names Michael Gibney , I’m 26 years old and from Lucan in Dublin. I got involved in Ozanam Come Dancing trough a lovely lady called Kim who currently works in Ozanam House. After attending the induction night, I felt like this was my time to give back and do something for such an amazing place. I took part in a strictly come dancing back in 2015 and it was the most rewarding amazing experience , dancing the jive and taking home the trophy , so I’ve a little experience behind me. I’m really looking forward to getting into my dance classes and trying my best to raise much needed funds for Ozanam House.

Ozanam Come Dancing 2019

Date: 08 March 2019

Ozanam Come Dancing is the BIG annual fundraiser in aid of Ozanam House Resource Centre, a community centre operated by SVP in Dublin 1. This year, 12 couples have volunteered to take on the challenge. The show will take place on Friday 8th March at 7.30pm in Liberty Hall, Dublin 1 and will be hosted by television presenter and fashion designer, Brendan Courtney. Brendan will be assisted by our guest celebrity judges including former Dancing with the Stars ‘Star’ Katherine Lynch. This year, with your help, we will engage 280 children and young people from the north inner city on our summer projects in June, July and August. At this challenging time of the year for so many families in our community and with your support, we will give them a memorable experience in a safe, nurturing, yet fun-filled environment. Please support our volunteer dancers involved our BIG annual fundraiser, Ozanam Come Dancing.
