Dorset St Conference Annual Appeal in Memory of Helen Guinane
The summary
The Dorset St Conference is launching our annual appeal with the staff of the Central Bank of Ireland ("CBI"). For over a decade now the CBI have been supporting our Conference with financial donations as well as donations of toys at Christmas time. These generous donations have had a profound and lasting impact in the North Inner City Community. Our 2025 appeal is launched in memory of our dear friend, and CBI colleague, Helen Guinane, who was a dedicated member of our team for many years.
Our Conference is a small team who help people in Dublins North Inner City either with financial help or just friendly visits where loneliness is the problem. Today in Dublins North Inners City, for too many people, it can still just take one small problem to tip someone into financial crisis and poverty. The people we help have usually hit on hard times because of a major event in their lives such as, illness, loss of employment, death of a spouse or marital breakdown. A little help at the right time can stop a domino effect leading to a family experiencing prolonged hardship. With our help many survive the initial impact and go on to be able to support themselves. We need your help so we can continue to help them. Please consider a donation to our Conference this Christmas.
