    The purpose of Fundraising, Marketing and Database Assistant is to support and assist SVP Individual Giving Manager, Regions and local Conferences with all fundraising activities, including direct marketing campaigns, data analytics and database management, donation data processing and communications.

    With an increment in the digitization of donor giving behaviour in Ireland, SVP has 100,000+ donors registered in the database. As the new donor identities are created, old are getting updated online daily, and in thousands during the Christmas months (November & December), we need a dedicated Fundraising, Marketing and Data Assistant to support the function.

    Salary €32,380.40 per annum
    Location - Saint Vincent de Paul, 91/92 Sean McDermott Street, Dublin 1
    Contract - Permanent


    The ideal candidate will possess the following:
    • The role will be responsible for processing the donations and developing the donor data, cleaning the data without losing donors' private and confidential data in compliance with GDPR data processing guidelines.
    • In addition, this role will strive to ensure that the way we manage and communicate with donors is GDPR compliant throughout the Society.
    • Assist the team with data-led insights to support direct marketing initiatives.
    • Includes donor segmentation, ask-strategy development, A/B testing, and survey sentiment analysis.
    • Help implement the donor development and recruitment strategy, which will deliver critical communications to existing and potential supporters while ensuring data integrity.
    • Answer all donor queries promptly and accurately through email, phone, and post.
    • Import all donor development and donation data on the CRM and finance spreadsheet, ensuring the data accuracy and security.
    • Check for data integrity.
    • Discover data cleaning techniques using CRM and other tools.
    • Develop basic queries for use on databases.
    • Apply functions for cleaning and transforming data.
    • Gain an understanding of how to verify the results of cleaning data.
    • Merging the donor data by securing essential private details of donors.
    • Assist the Individual Giving Manager on data processing and analysis of large donations/gifts
    • Minimum education standard accepted/desired for the role is degree level or recognisable fundraising qualification.
    • Certificates with CII Fundraising and Data Analytics is desirable.
    • Knowledge of the Society and of its mission and values
    • Knowledge of needs and issues of the poor and disadvantaged
    • One year’s experience in fundraising is essential
    • Past experience with CRM experience desirable
    • Strong database management and analytical experience required
    • Flexibility, innovation, and initiative
    • Good database marketing knowledge
    • Good knowledge of marketing techniques
    • Good communication skills; verbal, written and face to face
    • Excellent organisational skills
    • The ability to juggle a wide range of activities and priorities own workload and meet deadlines
    • Excellent computer skills and working experience in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc.
    • Knowledge of statistical tools like R, Stata, etc. is essential
